These terms cover your use of the Daily Rituals app, made by Saquib Ahmed, an independent developer based in India ("we"). By downloading or using it, you agree to them.
Who can use it
Daily Rituals is meant for adults (18 and over). If you're under 18, you may use it only with a parent's or guardian's permission, and they accept these terms for you, including any purchases.
Licence
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for your own private use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or sublicense the app.
Your content
What you write in Daily Rituals belongs to you. It stays on your device, as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for keeping your own backups. The app offers "Back up my journal" and supports Android backup, but we can't recover a journal we never had.
Daily Rituals Plus (subscription)
- Plus is an auto-renewing subscription, sold monthly or annually through Google Play. The price and billing period are shown before you buy.
- A free trial may be offered. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it becomes a paid subscription.
- The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel it at any time in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. After you cancel, Plus stays active until the end of the paid period.
- Prices may change. Google Play will tell you before a new price applies to your subscription.
- Plus perks are listed in the app. Perks granted during a subscription period, such as candles, are yours to use; Plus-only looks stop being available when Plus ends, except those the app says you keep.
Embers
- Embers are an in-app currency. You can earn them by journaling or buy them in packs through Google Play.
- Embers can be used only inside Daily Rituals, have no cash value, and can't be transferred, sold or exchanged for money.
- Ember packs are delivered as soon as the store confirms the purchase. Embers you've spent are used up.
Refunds
Refunds are handled by Google Play under its refund policy; we can't issue them ourselves. If an Ember pack is refunded, the app removes that pack's Embers from your balance (never below zero). If a subscription is refunded, Plus ends.
Acceptable use
Don't use the app to break the law, don't try to reverse-engineer or tamper with it or its purchases, and don't use it in ways that harm others.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including that it will be error-free or uninterrupted.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.
Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date above when we do, and continuing to use the app means you accept the update.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
